The second last event of the Weet-bix series was held on Mother’s Day and took place in Caboolture, Sunshine Coast. Set in one of the best venues the series had seen so far, the Caboolture Regional Aquatic & Leisure Centre at Burpengary, kids started their swim in the fantastic olympic-sized pool, after which they went next door to finish with the bike and run. With beautiful weather and nearly 600 kids participating, it was a great day for families and a perfect Mother’s Day enjoyed by many.
The Sanitarium Weet-Bix Kids TRYathlon is a non-competitive event staged as a community engagement program to assist kids develop a great sense of self esteem, a balance of lifestyle fitness with some fun in participation in Australia’s largest Kids TRYathlon. The TRYathlon is conducted along the lines of an adult triathlon, IE: Swim, ride and run in one event and is suitable for kids aged 7 – 15 years of age.
