Like many suburbs around Australia, Varsity Lakes on the Gold Coast also hosted a Christmas Carols Concert on the first weekend of December.
Around 2,000 people turned up, despite the bad weather predictions, at the free family event to watch performances by Varsity College students and the Hope Church band, participate in the free kids activities, enjoy the variety of food and drinks on offer, and of course to get a glimpse of Santa himself.
The concert was followed by an outdoor cinema screening of Will Ferrell’s ‘Elf’, which, due to the rain and thunderstorms, had to unfortunately be cancelled.
Our Role
3vent was contracted by City of Gold Coast to organise the stage, sound and lighting production as well as first aid, event infrastructure and design a site plan. Our team also managed the bump-in and running of the event and provided event staff to assist in the delivery of the event.
