Chinatown Markets returned to line the streets of Southport with delicious, authentic Asian foods and sounds. Over 6,000 people flocked to the bimonthly Markets for a taste of Asia.
Asian inspired entertainment filled the streets with music and dancing, while the young Hip Hop dancer’s impressed the passing crowds. If you are yet to attend a Chinatown Market, do yourself a favour and get down to the next one. The Chinatown Markets in Southport is one of the very few places around the Coast that you will get to hear authentic and original Chinese instrument being played such as the Cello, Pipa, ErHu and Guzheng.
Our Role
3vent has been contracted by the City of Gold Coast to organise and manage the operations of the Chinatown Markets since the inaugural event in May 2015, including the Chinatown Markets this month. Our project management role consists of organising infrastructure, traffic management and electrical requirements as well as creating all event and WHS documentation, and supplying event staffing. We also provide onsite management and oversee all infrastructure bump-in and stall holder placement on event day.
