A colourful parade through the middle of Surfers Paradise, topped off by a dazzling display of fireworks – a great night for the Gold Coast and a spectacular opening to the Surfer Paradise Festival 2014!
Over 1,000 people participated in the Street Parade, consisting of dancing groups, a variety of entertainers, enormous lanterns, local students and teachers, fire trucks, police marching band, musicians, various vehicles and much more! Parading through Elkhorn Av, Orchid Av, Cavill Mall and finishing on the Surfers Paradise beach, the event drew a huge crowd who were all eager to get involved with neon lights and glow sticks.
