What an event! With over 200 teams and just under 1,800 players participating this year (700 more than last year!) and beautiful Gold Coast weather, it was an absolute cracker!
Held simultaneously at two Gold Coast locations, the Surfers Paradise games were hosted on the beach and the Mudgeeraba competitions took place on hard courts.
Netfest 2013 kicked off with a celebrity match on Thursday afternoon hosted by DJ Tallie in the commentary seat. Local radio stars, top ranking netball players and ex-iron man champions made up the teams, playing a competitive yet friendly game of netball on the beach. The event drew a fantastic crowd and sent the series off to a flying start.
Three intense days of netball followed with the finals taking place on Sunday afternoon.

Our Role
3vent Productions were contracted by Netball Australia to manage the logistical requirements of both locations, including:
- Liaison with local council
- Organisation of all event infrastructure (marquees, fencing, sound & lighting, etc)
- Organisation of event services (entertainment, first aid, security, etc)
- Creation of all risk documentation
- Signage installation
