What an amazing effort, Australia! Over $400,000 of much needed funds has been raised nationwide through the 2014 Melanoma March campaign, with QLD contributing just under $50,000 of that.
On Sunday 23 March, 16 Melanoma March events were hosted across Australia with the Brisbane course set along the bay side of Wynnum, east of Brisbane.
Set over approx. 4.5km, the walk started at 9am from Bandstand Park where around 400 marchers made their way north, enjoying a picturesque walk along the Wynnum esplanade, before turning around to come south and finishing again at their starting point where a school band, face painter, merchandise stand and food vendors provided entertainment for all.
It was a blistering hot day in Brisbane, already reaching up to 30 degrees by the time the march started, which meant sun protection was obviously everyone’s priority.
Our Role
3vent Productions were contracted to look after the production management of the Brisbane site which included the following services:
- Organisation of traffic management
- Hire of 3vent event equipment
- Installation of all event equipment and signage
- Course logistics
- Event staffing
