After the success of last year’s Launch it! Beach Party it was decided that a party that size is just too big to be held in one night. Therefore, in 2012 Hard Rock Rocks the Beach presents Launch It! was extended to occupy an entire weekend of the Surfers Paradise Festival – three days/ nights of free concerts on the beach!
Aimed to create three distinct vibes, Launch It! showcased the cutting edge of contemporary Australian music, starting with Friday’s after-dark session which headlined internationally acclaimed dance-electropop act Sneaky Sound System.
On Saturday night, Hoodoo Gurus, the cream of Australian rock royalty, took to the stage as the main act, followed by a spectacular fireworks display to celebrate the mid-weekend vibe.
The Sunday session was all about bringing back the rootsy vibe of the beach concert, starring Ash Grunwald and friends in a casual afternoon gig.
