On the first day of June the annual Monster Machinery Day took place at the Broadwater Parklands in Southport.
Each year this event provided an opportunity for families to get up close and hands on with everything that digs, scoops, cleans and beeps as part of the City’s fleet of equipment, see them in action and meet the ‘behind the scene’ operators.
The event, this year presented for the 11th time already, showcases the extensive array of vehicles, trucks and machines that the City of Gold Coast (City) uses to provide essential services. More than 30 City vehicles were on show, including excavators, graders, loaders, tip trucks, road sweepers, beach tractors, water vehicles and more.
Non-stop entertainment included vehicle demonstrations, stage shows, rides, food stalls, interactive games, with great prizes and giveaways for all ages. Besides providing local residents with an action packed family fun-filled day, the event also raises awareness and educates the community about what goes in to building and maintaining our great city.
Our Role
3vent Productions provided experienced event staff to assist the Gold Coast City Council in the set up and dismantle of this event.
