What a great day for an even greater cause – the Youngcare Budgie Bolt in Southbank, Brisbane!
A scenic 6km run along the banks of Brisbane, over the Goodwill Bridge, through the Botanical Gardens and onto Eagle Street Pier before turning around and tracking back… and all of this in your budgie smugglers/smugglettes! What a great way to spend your Friday night, right?! Well, luckily a whole lot of Brisbanites thought so as they lined up in the start chute on the Cultural Foreshore in Brisbane at 5.15pm to start their end-of-work-week run for charity.
Youngcare is a non-for profit organisation committed to helping young Aussies with high care needs live life with choice, independence and dignity. All money raised from the Bolt will go toward Youngcare’s At Home Care Grants Program, designed to provide micro grants of between $2,000 and $10,000 each for young Aussies with high care needs at risk of entering aged care.

Our Role
Youngcare engaged 3vent to, in conjunction with their in-house team, manage the operations and logistics of both the Brisbane and Sydney event. For the Brisbane event this included, among other things, managing the course operations, supplying event infrastructure, managing volunteers and providing an event manager and staff to assist Youngcare in execute the event. The Sydney event be held on Friday 23 October 2015 at Circular Quay.
