On in October 2018 Asahi Beverages officially opened its new, state-of-the-art distribution centre in the Heathwood Logistics Estate, Brisbane.
To celebrate the occasion, a morning-tea was hosted including speeches and an official ribbon-cutting ceremony. A large structural marquee was erected on the Asahi property and the grand opening event was attended by many high profile attendees including:
- Mr Katsutoshi Takahashi, Senior Managing Director of Asahi Beverage’s Japanese parent company

- Graham Quirk, The Lord Mayor of Brisbane
- Councillor Angela Owen, Councillor for Calamvale Ward
- Mr Peter Margin, Executive Chairman, Asahi Beverages Australia
- Members of the Board of Asahi Holdings Australia
“The opening of the Heathwood site is a special moment in the history of our company – it is the most significant investment we have made in warehousing and distribution in Australia in recent times” Mr Peter Margin, Executive Chairman, Asahi Beverages.
Heavy rain in the lead up to the event created some interesting challenges for the 3vent crew and some last minute changes were required. Fortunately, the crew were able to handle all the changes, pulling everything together so the event could go on without a hitch!
