The last 2011 Australian qualifying Ironman race to the Ironman World Championship was held in Canberra. As one of the most toughest events in the world, the course combined a 1.9km lake swim, a 90km ride through the nation’s major iconic buildings and landmarks and a 21.1km run through downtown Canberra’s parklands. The weather conditions were not the best however, it was a fantastic finish for 2011.
