On the evening of 22nd of April sunlight twinkled over the Melbourne city skyline as the team geared up for another high energy event at the iconic Flemington racecourse. As the dark canvas of night approached the vibrant glow of UV lights and glowing colour zones painted a sensational visual spectacle of wonder and awe. This Colour Run Night was Australia’s first ever R’nB Friday themed 5K event.
The course build was a wet and cold affair on Friday and Saturday yet as the night fell the rain vanished creating great running conditions. The thousands of participants in attendance really got into the ‘R’nB Fridays’ spirit, bopping to the funky beats around the course and at the festival with groovy moves and some epic displays of fancy dress. The vibrant and rhythmic dancing of several break-dancers and modern dance troops enticed and energised the crowd as they navigated the course and partied at the festival. Splashed with light and colour the participants, volleys and event crew had a phenomenal time!
A unique American concept by origin, The Color Run (TCR) is focused on fun instead of performance. It’s all about music, colour and madness as runners make their way through the 5km run, being bombarded with a different colour powder every kilometre to finish into an even bigger colour mania called the Finish Festival. Here, the runners get a chance to drench themselves, and everyone else, in even more colour by throwing their own colour packets around, all the while dancing and singing along to the latest tunes being played on the main stage by a DJ.

Our Role
3vent Productions is contracted to, in conjunction with The Color Run Australia, manage the course production of every Color Run event around the country including providing a Course Manager and team of 3vent supervisors
