Remembrance Day, a day to commemorate all those who gave their lives during service. To commemorate this special day, Logan Hyperdome (a large shopping complex south of Brisbane) was looking to host a community program in the lead up to Remembrance Day. A shop would made available to host the project from 12 October until 11 November and the project was to include a Local Heroes Gallery, Integrated Community Activity and the live playing of the last post at 11am on 11 November 2016.
With this brief 3vent went to work and the results wow’ed the client beyond belief.
3vent transformed the shop into a temporary museum, including artifacts from all war eras, a 7.5m x 2.5m Hero Wall, a video corner with custom made Remembrance Day video, poppy arts for the public to create and demonstrate on a dedicated wall, as well as a school program where local schools could place a hand made poppy wreath on display. With a large cargo net placed along the surface of the ceiling, the room looked amazing really capturing the somber feel the Hyperdome was hoping for.
Our Role
3vent Productions was appointed to, in conjunction with Hyperdome, manage the complete delivery of the Remembrance Day Community Project. From organising required infrastructure and products, collating all the information for the Hero Wall and managing the design of the Hero Wall, to creating the video, organising the Last Post performance and the managing the complete installation of the room – 3vent Productions organised it from start to finish.
