On Easter Saturday 2016 an estimated 8,000 people gathered at Broadwater Parklands for the Easter Family Concert and Fireworks Extravaganza.
The weather was nothing less than perfect as families made themselves comfortable by bringing along their picnic chairs and rugs to watch the 3-hour live stage entertainment. Nickleby the Magician was the first stage act and never fails to put a spell on the crowd as the crowd pleaser. PAW Patrol, one of the nights highlights, followed and characters walked the park after their performance to meet their fans for photos and cuddles. The Cadbury Easter Bunny made a special appearance on-stage as well as off-stage, handing out hundreds of yummy Cadbury Easter eggs to the excited kiddies.
But the entertainment didn’t stop there! There was face painting, balloon twisting, a giant super slippery slide, pasta jewellery making and Easter egg hunting to name a few of the activities that were on hand to keep the thousands of children busy!
The successful event concluded with a 6 minute fireworks display as the happy and satisfied crowd hopped on home.
