The 70.3 Ironman at Capricorn Resort in Yeppoon was a yet again a sensational event with great weather conditions for all athletes who battled their way across ocean and land to the finish line. The 2km Swim, 90km Bike Ride and 20km run was completed by over 800 pros and amateurs this year, with finishing times ranging from 3.5 hours to 5 hours.
With the main infrastructure in place for the big Ironman race on Sunday, a 10km Fun Run was held on the Saturday before the main event for locals as well as family and friends of athletes who wanted to try their luck at the short distance track.

Our Role
Event host and organiser X-Tri Events Australia recruited 3vent Productions again in 2012, this time requiring multiple 3vent staff to assist their team in the set up and running of the event. The second, and last, 70.3 Ironman event for 2012, will follow in December in Canberra.
