Yet again a sold out event, the 70.3 Ironman Canberra was held on 16 December 2012 with over 1,500 athletes competing. This year the weather conditions were perfect with calm lake conditions and a sunny day with reasonable temperatures.
As one of the toughest events in the world, the half Ironman course combined a 1.9km lake swim, a 90km ride through the nation’s major iconic buildings and landmarks and a 21.1km run through downtown Canberra’s parklands.

Our Role
The 3vent Productions’ team, consisting of 1 assistant event manager and 6 event crew, assisted event organiser X-Tri Australia in the set-up and running of this event, including areas such as transition, aid stations and registration.
